New lab announcement: Nate Schroeder at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Our lab opened August 2013 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  We are interested in phenotypic plasticity in nematodes. Specifically how do these ubiquitous animals sense, survive, and thrive in adverse and changing environments? In C. elegans, we are examining dauer-specific phenotypic plasticity.  Specifically, we are investigating the remodeling of the IL2 neurons during dauer.  We are also examining the nervous systems of several plant-parasitic and fungal feeding nematodes. publish.illinois.edu/nematodes/
